Join us for a frightfully fun Halloween campout where ghost stories around the fire are just the beginning! 🎃 Learn outdoor survival skills by day and brave the haunted woods by night. (Don’t worry, the scariest thing might just be trying to start a fire without matches!) 🔥

Location
The upcoming Annual Fright Night will take place at the group site Osprey Nest in Shinleaf Campground at Falls Lake. The address is 13708 New Light Road, Wake Forest, NC North Carolina. You can also access the location details through this link.
Accommodations
Each child will be provided with a sleeping pad, and tents will be set up and ready for use. The campground is equipped with bathroom facilities for added comfort during the event. See below for items to bring.
Meals
On Saturday afternoon, the kids will enjoy a taco lunch, followed by an authentic campfire dinner that evening, where they can roast hotdogs and savor a variety of tasty side dishes. Throughout the event, an assortment of snacks and beverages will be available for them to enjoy. As Sunday morning dawns, the children will be treated to a cozy breakfast, complete with hot chocolate, apple cider, pastries, and oatmeal.

Items to Bring
- Sleeping Bag – As the temperature tends to dip during the night, it’s essential to have a properly insulated sleeping bag for a comfortable night’s sleep. If you’re in need of one, you can find a suitable option by following this link.
- Warm clothes and hat
- Shoes that may get dirty
- Camping chair
- A water bottle – Drinking water is available, but please bring your own bottle
- Pillows
- Refillable water bottle
- Flash light or head lamp
- Personal items such as toiletries, medications, power banks for devices
- A bag of candy to share – We will have a creative way for trick or treating and each child will be able to take a goody bag home


Our mission is to provide immersive outdoor experiences that connect people to nature, build confidence, and foster a sense of belonging—particularly for those who have historically been underrepresented in outdoor spaces. Our programs range from beginner-friendly camping and glamping retreats to hiking excursions and wilderness skills workshops, designed to meet participants wherever they are in their outdoor journey.
